To be honest, that tree had nothing wrong with it, a little rot in the middle perhaps but the crown was still very healthy. I'd have left it up with a little reduction if it was my choice, next time maybe :-)
Holy cow! Look at the inside of that last tree! That thing looks like it was completely disease infested, good thing it was cut down.
